Our Fields

Our club currently has two fields that we can fly on. The Strock Farm Flying Field is our main field and has a 600 foot runway. Our second field, the Klinedinst Road Flying Field is for use when flying is not allowed at the Strock Farm Flying Field. Further details on our fields can be found below.

NOTE: Violation of the below flying times will result in immediate expulsion from CAF.

  • Flying Times for Strock Farm Field
    • (Click Here to Review the No Fly Zone)
    • Mon-Fri (9am to Dusk) All Types of Aircraft (Including Helicopters)
    • Sat (8am - 4pm) All Types of Aircraft (Including Helicopters)
    • Sun (12pm - Dusk) Quiet Electric Aircraft Only

  • Flying Times for Klinedinst Road Field
    • Mon-Sun (9am to 9pm) All Types of Airplanes (no helicopters)

Directions to Strock Farm Field

  • From US Route 15
    • Take the Mechanicsburg/Bowmansdale exit, Route 114 [Market Street]
    • Go West on Route 114 towards Mechanicsburg
    • Turn Left on Marble Street and follow it past Mechanicsburg High School (this becomes Williams Grove Road)
    • Turn left into the drive marked "Strocks Farm Fresh Meats" (Please Drive Slowly Through the Farm)
    • Follow lane through and beyond farm buildings then go right on dirt lane
    • Follow dirt lane past more farm buildings to flying site on left
    • Exit the flying field by the same route

  • From I-81
    • Take the Mechanicsburg exit, Route 114
    • Go East on Route 114 towards Mechanicsburg (this becomes North York Street Past Route 11)
    • Follow North York Street through Mechanicsburg and make a right turn onto Marble Street
    • Follow Marble Street past the Mechanicsburg High School (this becomes Williams Grove Road)
    • Turn left into the drive marked "Strocks Farm Fresh Meats" (Please Drive Slowly Through the Farm)
    • Follow lane through and beyond farm buildings then go right on dirt lane
    • Follow dirt lane past more farm buildings to flying site on left
    • Exit the flying field by the same route

Directions to Klinedinst Road Field

  • From US Route 15
    • Take the Mechanicsburg/Bowmansdale exit, Route 114 [Market Street]
    • Go West on Route 114 towards Bowmansdale
    • Turn left at the second traffic light at the bottom of a steep hill
    • Continue on Route 114 under a railroad bridge
    • Turn left onto Klinedinst Road
    • Field is on the left
